What do you do to psych yourselves up for that big sales pitch! Be honest other people might just use some of what you've got.

    Hello Mary,

I personally take a look at myself in the mirror and tell myself that the person isnt any better or any worse then I am. If they are a big client and im going to meet them then I dress to impress. If they are regular people then I also dress to impress. I feel you have to treat whom ever that you are trying to sell to very respectively and be very honestly. Those are the things that I do to get ready for that big sell.

I do the normal things like look in the mirror and tell myself how I can do it, and I also listen to motivational audio every chance I get. But if I really want to succeed, here's what I do. I go out and find some little old lady trying to load groceries into her car, and offer my help. Or, I find someone that seems down on themself - and I try to cheer them up! It's amazing what kind of positive energy that can be created by helping someone else! Your energy rides you through the presentation and it's like everything falls into place and you have all the right answers. Try it! It works for me!

Great group of people in here!

Psyching myself up is the biggest mistake that I've made. I try to calm myself down. I know it is an important meeting, I've been thinking about it for quite a while. If they are a responsive person, the product will typically sell itself.

I like to approach presentations as consultations.

I do a lot of homework - know their business style, their needs, the problems they need to have solved and then I tailor my presentation accordingly. By the time I've done my homework I'm so enthused to have created the best solution to their particular problem that the client becomes equally enthused.

Preparation is the most important part for me - then I can just relax and have fun with it.
