Hello All,
I could use help in locating families seeking home mortgages or those in need of refinancing help. I'm new to the area and don't have a warm market to use. Any ideas?

Re: Seeking assistance in finding clients in need of home mortgages
Sun, July 3, 2005 - 5:39 AMhello cornel welcome! I was in the mortgage business for about 5 yrs. I started doing mailings first. Just pick out a geographical area acquire a list and mail to those residents. Many of my mortgages came from more urban areas because home owners in my oponion are more likely to sell there. You may also consider referance usa.com free leads. Got a library card? getting a membership free is easy just go to your library's website in their research area. There was a post about reference usa also on this tribe. you will get more info from that post. Another idea for you too is to mail every accountant, re lawyer, insurance agent, home inspector and especially realtors that you can find and ask them for referrals or to recruit them and start a business association for refferrals with them. Just hold a weekly meeting with them to let them know what you are working on build relationships and bring a lead or two for each person as your business grows down the road... appraisers are sometimes more profitable than the realtors can be because appraisers can sometimes have for sale by owners that you could convert and they can work with you to arrange financing for their perspective buyers. Home shows, attend a lot of those get a booth meet some people. join the local chamber but always keep vissible. any further questions feel free to email me anytime.

Tue, November 22, 2005 - 4:17 PMJoin your local Builders Association and or Remodeler's Association. Most developers like making it easy for prospective buyers to find the funds needed to purchase a home or to finance the kitchen re-do, etc.
My advice is to network, network, network! Work smart.
